Hypothesis

I had always heard bad things about Twitter ads:

  • Too expensive
  • No one engages with Twitter ads
  • Ad platform is bad
  • Reporting sucks

It wasn't until this tweet that I started to reconsider if Twitter ads could work.

What's appealing is the fact that it's Twitter.

Twitter has been the only social platform I've actively used and invested in. And what's unique about Twitter ads is that you can use your own personal account.

With Facebook and LinkedIn, you have to set up "pages." Even with Instagram, you have to switch to a "Business Account."

So if I can use my personal account for ads, I can make it more authentic, engaging, and compelling to actually get good results. This could lead to more subscribers or even more members directly.
